Let’s talk physics (the simple version)
Short-wave infrared is great because it doesn’t just toast the surface of your material. It actually sinks deep into things like PET or polymers. To get that kind of speed, we use halogen-filled quartz tubes. They pack a punch. But here’s a heads-up: when you go for high wattage, you’re putting a lot of stress on your electrical terminations. If you’re pushing high voltage, make sure your wiring and connectors can actually handle the heat. Otherwise, you’re just waiting for a contact point to burn out.
Why bother with modules?
I’ve seen too many engineers spend hours obsessing over how to bend a tube or where to mount a bracket just to fit a specific machine footprint. It’s a slog. We solve that by sending you pre-bent, integrated modules. You get the quartz tube, the reflectors, and the electrical housing all in one piece. Instead of fumbling with R7s or Sk15 bases on a noisy factory floor, you just drop the module in. No more praying you don’t snap a tube during installation. Plus, your heat focal point stays exactly where it needs to be across the entire curve.
The reality check
Now, there is a catch. Pre-assembled modules save you a ton of labor, but they aren’t flexible once they leave our shop. Once a module is bent to a specific radius, that’s it. You can’t just “tweak” the curve in the field. So, do yourself a favor: double-check that your machine frames are squared and your CAD files are spot on before we lock in the geometry. It’ll save everyone a lot of stress.
