
Let’s be honest: bathrooms are a nightmare for electronics. Between the constant steam and the accidental splashes, most heaters just give up. They rust, the contacts corrode, and before you know it, the thing just stops working. We didn’t want that. So, we built our infrared wall heaters specifically to survive the chaos of a bathroom. Keeping the water out Most heaters have these tiny gaps where moisture sneaks in, which is a great way to trigger a short circuit. We fixed that by using a tightly sealed enclosure. We added gaskets at all the seams to act like a barrier. Even if you’re running a steaming hot shower right next to it, the internal electronics stay bone-dry. No pooling water on the circuit board, no surprises. Dealing with the fog You know how your mirror fogs up and you can’t see a thing? The same thing happens to heaters. When condensation builds up on the face, it blocks the heat from actually reaching you. To stop that, we designed the heater to keep its surface just warm enough to stay above the dew point. It basically pushes the fog away. We also used a specific kind of quartz glass that doesn’t let hard water minerals leave those annoying white crusty spots. The trade-off Now, there is a catch. To make this thing “bathroom-proof,” we had to add some heavy-duty seals and guards. This makes the unit a bit heavier, and it doesn’t hit peak temperature quite as instantly as a cheap, open-air heater would. But in my opinion, waiting an extra few seconds for the heat is a fair trade for a heater that actually lasts for years instead of months. Making it last We also swapped out the standard internal connectors for ones that don’t rust. You won’t have to worry about the unit burning out after one rough winter. One quick tip for when you install it: make sure you use a drip loop in your wiring. It’s a simple little curve in the cable that stops water from sliding right down the wire and straight into the power inlet. Do that, and you’re moving from a product that lasts a few hundred hours to one that lasts for thousands.
